Our first Family Vacation

This morning, we woke up and got ready. Packed the car and headed to San Diego to enjoy a little family get away! The ride was long but the boys were so good! An occasional shout from Coda when he needed a drink or was bored but for the most part they entertained themselves or one another. Once we finally arrived and checked into the hotel we headed to Mission Bay. The closest beach, since Cade has never seen a beach or an ocean. Boy was he thrilled! We only made it about half way across the beach when Cade tossed his sandals off and was on the hunt for sea shells. Of course Coda was not far behind! They were so fun to walk in the water with. Coda being the little dare devil he was tried and tried to make a run for the deep water so if you notice my death grip in any picture you'll understand! After enjoying the nice cold water a bit we brought out some sand toys for the boys to play with...ok for all of us to play with. It went something like this, Cade builds a castle, Coda destroys, Mom build a castle, Coda destoys, Coda tosses sand at new castles, then destroys. I have never seen two boys more covered with sand! IT WAS EVERYWHERE!! As the tide grew close to where we were playing we decided it was time to head back to the hotel. Ordered from the restaurant in the hotel (the closest thing to room service since Cade was dying to "just order it from room service".)Showered two very dirty boys, and hopped into bed! Allthough the mini crib and 1 room posed an issue with Coda, he kept throwing Ernie out, and then his bottle. But eventually he fell asleep. Now it's my turn!
