Christmas and a Birthday

Early on Christmas Eve, just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... This was like the 20th picture and the first and only one that they both looked at me. They look happy don't they!We were fairly patient all day. We got to go to Jen's house for enchiladas and a family talent show! My family is so fun and incredibly talented! When we got home Cade set out Santa's cookies very carefully. Santa always knows that the boys are in need of nice Christmas jammas on the bed on Christmas Eve. He also left a cute reindeer/elf penguin! How did he know? Finally Christmas arrived and this was the expression Coda had all morning. He is so funny! Cade moved too fast and was just a blur in every picture we did manage to get! Then we went to Grandma and Papa's for breakfast and a few more presents. Coda looking pretty comfy with Pop. One of the few times my dad stopped cooking. Christmas was so wonderful. We all had a lot of fun together, and having my family all together is the best. But of course Christmas isn't our only celebration this week. Cade is finally 5. My sweet, funny, silly, caring and kind boy. I can't believe he is so old. He keeps our house on our toes and can always make us laugh. If someone feels sad he takes care of them and is always trying to kiss someone or hug them. Our family would be so empty without him. We Love you Cade Michael!

For Cade's birthday we told him we would do whatever he wanted which included waking up at the crack of dawn. Opening presents and him trying to beat Kyle and I at anything, so he wouldn't have to shower, he lost. Then we had Weinersnitzel for lunch. ( Yes, he had a choice of ANYWHERE and choose chilli dogs! The owner was really excited that he came in for his birthday and gave him his food for free!) Then back to Grandma and Papa's to open presents and play. He got a new pair of Sketchers, some Mighty Muggs, Don't Wake Hulk and Legos.(That Uncle Bubba monopolized...from everyone!) Oh and my Dad decided to surprise him. They sent him into his room and Ryan, my Dad, and Kyle all got ready with Nerf guns. When he walked out they shot him all over and Cade could not have been any happier. (Ryan and Kyle got a little to excited with the guns including a bathroom attack on the birthday boy. Too bad we didn't get to see Kyle sweet "moves" we saw with the BB guns!

Happy Birthday Big Brother!
